No matter what it is that you love to do when it comes to sports, you can improve by putting in more hours, practicing hard, and learning from those who have achieved before you. If you want to be the best, then learn from the best. There is nothing like the feeling of success that comes from the results of hours invested in something that you love.

If you want to coach high school basketball, you need to understand that while these kids seem like they are grown, they are still children in many ways and you need to treat them that way. Not every player can do every drill at the same time, so make sure you have some side drills they can work on with a partner or individually.

Adjust your system if you feel it needs some tweaking. Every player has his or her strengths and weaknesses. Learn what they are and turn their focus to their strengths as well as their weaknesses. Make an award system for the players who take the most effort and are making the most progress. You want them to have motivation.
